Position Summary The Lunar Communications Project Manager will perform project management for a NASA government-based project (requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and analysis). Duties & Responsibilities Functions Perform project management for a NASA government-based project (requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and analysis) Provide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support Monitor cost performance against established plans Develop and maintain company and customer (primarily government) financial reports Monitor scheduled deliverables against established plans Oversee and develop system requirements and process flows Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy of reporting Perform risk analysis and tracking for the project Interface frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA System Managers, operational customers and other stakeholders Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors Perform job functions based on pre-established guidelines or instructions Perform other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Project or Program Manager Qualifications Required:
BS degree from an accredited school and at least 15 years of experience Advanced degrees may be counted as experience Experience with NASA/JSC flight hardware process and certification Prior experience with Financial Reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating Prior experience managing and leading a team Experience with requirements development, design trades, risk analysis, and system analysis of space hardware Self-motivated, team player and adaptability to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required Excellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings Must have the ability to visualize and work with complex mechanical/electrical systems and work with others in problem solving as part of a team Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules Familiarity with Microsoft Office products Requisition Preferences:
Familiar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures Familiarity with the Engineering Life Cycle process Prior experience with hardware anomaly troubleshooting and failure analysis
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Technical Project ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
